The rough seasons in alpine space are a challenge for humans and animals. In the transitional period it happens frequently that the approaching winter breaks too early and brings humans and animals to their limits.
Also in September 2015, the temperatures fell down surprising by a crashing cold front, and the rain fell in the form of snow on the ridges. At a time when the alpine pasture was still in full swing and the animals still eat the last grass remnants at a height of more than 2000 meters above sea level in order to devour themselves a little winter supply.
On a tour through the Kühtai, a remote valley in Tyrol, these pictures were taken.
